1. Our commitment

Kindro is a random one-to-one live video chat application that connects users from around the world. The safety of children is our highest priority. We are committed to maintaining a platform that is safe for every legitimate user and hostile to anyone who would harm a minor. This page describes our child safety standards, the measures we take to protect minors, and how to report abuse or suspicious behavior.

2. Zero tolerance

Kindro has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, and any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors.

Any user who produces, shares, solicits, promotes, or links to content depicting child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), or who attempts to groom or engage a minor in sexual or otherwise inappropriate conduct, is immediately and permanently removed from the platform. Where required, such activity is reported to the relevant authorities and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent authority in the user's jurisdiction. There are no exceptions to this policy.

3. Age requirements

Kindro is intended for users who are at least 17 years of age. You must meet this minimum age requirement to create an account or use the Service.

We enforce this requirement as follows:

  • Age confirmation at onboarding: Every new user must confirm their age and that they meet the minimum age requirement before using the Service. Users who indicate they are under 17 are blocked from accessing the Service.
  • Age review: The age confirmation provided at onboarding is recorded and reviewed as part of our trust and safety processes.
  • Underage use: If we discover, or have reason to believe, that an account belongs to or is being used by a person under 17, the account is immediately suspended pending review and, where confirmed, permanently banned.
  • Misrepresentation: Adults who misrepresent their age or identity in order to contact, groom, or otherwise interact with minors are permanently banned and reported to the relevant authorities.

4. Prevention measures

Kindro uses a combination of technical, human, and policy measures to detect and deter abuse, including:

  • Automated content moderation: Live video is monitored using automated technology that detects nudity and other explicit content in real time.
  • Human moderation review: Flagged content and user reports are reviewed by human moderators, who can remove content and apply restrictions or bans.
  • In-chat reporting and blocking: Users can report another participant and block them at any time during a chat. Blocked users cannot reconnect to the user who blocked them.
  • Immediate action on violations: Accounts reported for or detected engaging in CSAE, grooming, or the sexualization of minors are suspended immediately and, where confirmed, permanently banned.
  • Cooperation with law enforcement and NCMEC: When we identify or are notified of apparent CSAE, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the equivalent authority, and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.

5. How to report abuse or suspicious behavior

Anyone — including people who do not have a Kindro account — may report child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), grooming, or any suspicious behavior involving a minor.

You can report in either of the following ways:

  • In the app: Use the in-chat Report button to flag a user or interaction for immediate review by our moderation team.
  • By email: Send a report to kindro-safety@proton.me.

To help us act quickly, please include as much of the following as possible: the username or profile information of the person involved, the date and time of the interaction, a description of what happened, and any screenshots or recordings you are able to provide.

What happens after you report:

  • We acknowledge receipt of your report as soon as possible.
  • Our Trust & Safety Team reviews the report and any associated evidence.
  • Where a violation is confirmed, the offending account is removed, the content is deleted, and the matter is referred to NCMEC or the relevant law enforcement authority as required by law.
  • We treat all reports confidentially to the extent permitted by law.

6. Contact for child safety issues

Child safety matters are handled by our dedicated Trust & Safety Team, separate from general customer support.

Trust & Safety Team
Email: kindro-safety@proton.me
This address is monitored and is used for reports of child safety concerns, CSAE, grooming, and abuse. Reports sent to this address receive priority handling.

7. Enforcement

Kindro enforces these standards strictly and consistently. Consequences for violating our child safety policies include:

  • Permanent bans: Accounts involved in CSAE, grooming, or the sexualization or endangerment of minors are permanently banned with no option to appeal reinstatement.
  • Reporting to authorities: Confirmed or credible CSAE activity is reported to NCMEC or the equivalent authority in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Cooperation with investigations: We cooperate with law enforcement investigations and respond to lawful requests for information, while preserving relevant records as required by law.

We review our safety measures on an ongoing basis and update them as technology, regulation, and best practices evolve.
