1. Who we are

Kindro is operated by SIMÓN ANDRÉS CARSTENS MALDONADO as a consumer mobile application under the app identifier me.jagar.kindro2. For privacy questions, data requests, ban appeals, or support, contact:

Email: vercelwebmaster@proton.me
Subject line suggestion: Kindro Privacy Request

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • the Kindro iOS and Android apps;
  • our matchmaking, moderation, support, and related backend services;
  • this website and hosted legal pages.

It does not cover third-party websites, app stores, operating systems, or services that we do not control, even if they are linked from the Service.

3. Age requirement

The Service is intended only for users who are 17 years of age or older. During onboarding, Kindro asks you to confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly allow users under 17 to use the Service.

If you believe a user under 17 is using Kindro, contact us at vercelwebmaster@proton.me and we will take appropriate action, which may include deleting related data and restricting access where reasonably possible.

4. Information we collect

Kindro does not require you to create a traditional account with a username and password. We collect the categories of information below.

4.1 Information you provide

  • Support and contact messages. If you contact us in-app or by email, we collect the information you submit, such as your email address, optional name, and message content.
  • Ban appeals. If you appeal a restriction, we collect your message and any contact email you choose to provide, together with the installation identifiers needed to locate the relevant record.
  • Reports. If you report another user, we collect the report reason you select and related call/session context needed to review the report.
  • Age confirmation. We may ask you to confirm your birth year or age eligibility in the app. This confirmation is used to gate access and is not used to build a public profile.

4.2 Information collected automatically

  • Installation / device identifiers. Kindro generates and stores an app installation identifier and a related secret on your device (for example, in secure on-device storage). These values help us recognize the same installation for matchmaking, abuse prevention, bans, appeals, and security. They are not your name or email.
  • Diagnostics and performance data. We collect crash logs, error reports, performance metrics, and basic app/device technical data to keep the Service stable.
  • Analytics data. We collect app usage and event data such as app opens, feature interactions, and similar telemetry through analytics tools.
  • Advertising identifiers and ad interaction data. On supported platforms, advertising partners may access advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) and information about ad requests, impressions, and interactions.
  • Network and technical logs. Our servers may process IP address, timestamps, request metadata, connection status, and similar technical information when you use the Service.

4.3 Audio, video, and safety moderation data

Important: Kindro is a live video chat product. Camera and microphone access are required for core functionality.

  • Live audio and video. When you join a call, your camera and microphone streams are transmitted in real time so the other participant can see and hear you. This media is processed through our call infrastructure providers to deliver the call.
  • Safety moderation samples. To help detect prohibited content (including sexual/nude content and other policy violations), Kindro may periodically capture still frames from your local camera during a call and send them to our backend for automated and human moderation review. These samples may be associated with your installation identifier and call/session identifiers.
  • Call/session metadata. We process information needed to create, maintain, and end calls, such as matchmaking state, room or session identifiers, join/leave events, and report context.

We do not ask for access to your contacts, precise GPS location, photo library, or files as part of core Kindro functionality.

4.4 Permissions

Depending on your device, Kindro may request:

  • Camera — to show your video during calls and for safety moderation samples;
  • Microphone — so the other person can hear you;
  • Internet / network access — to operate the Service;
  • Bluetooth-related audio permissions (Android) — to support headsets and audio routing during calls;
  • Advertising ID (Android) — for advertising measurement and delivery where ads are shown.

You can withdraw permissions in your device settings. If you disable camera or microphone access, you may be unable to use core call features.

5. How we use information

We use information to:

  • provide, operate, and maintain random matchmaking and live video calls;
  • authenticate installations and prevent impersonation or abuse;
  • enforce community rules, review reports, and apply temporary or permanent restrictions;
  • detect, investigate, and help prevent fraud, spam, underage use, and harmful content;
  • respond to support requests and ban appeals;
  • monitor reliability, diagnose crashes, and improve performance;
  • understand aggregate usage of the Service;
  • show advertisements and measure ad performance;
  • comply with law, regulate platform requirements, and protect our rights and users;
  • communicate with you about the Service when you contact us.

6. Legal bases (EEA/UK and similar regions)

Where required, we process personal data under these legal bases:

  • Contract / service delivery — to provide the features you request, including matchmaking and live calls;
  • Legitimate interests — safety, abuse prevention, security, analytics, service improvement, and defending legal claims, balanced against your rights;
  • Consent — where required for certain device permissions, optional communications, or non-essential cookies/ads technologies;
  • Legal obligation — when we must process or retain information to comply with applicable law.

7. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information with the categories of recipients below.

7.1 Service providers / processors

  • Call infrastructure providers (including LiveKit / WebRTC-related infrastructure) to transmit live audio and video and operate call rooms.
  • Cloud / backend infrastructure used to run matchmaking, moderation, reporting, support, and related APIs.
  • Google Firebase services, which may include Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance Monitoring, for telemetry, crash reporting, and performance measurement.
  • Advertising partners, including AppLovin MAX and downstream ad networks, when ads are enabled in the app.
  • Platform providers such as Apple and Google for app distribution, in-app review prompts, and operating-system services.

7.2 Other users

During a call, the other participant can see and hear the live media you choose to transmit. Do not share information in a call that you do not want another person to receive.

7.3 Legal, safety, and business transfers

We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;
  • enforce our terms and policies;
  • detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of Kindro, our users, or the public;
  • complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

8. Advertising

Kindro may show third-party advertisements, including interstitial ads after certain in-app actions (for example, skipping to the next call). Advertising partners may collect or receive device and advertising identifiers, IP address, coarse device/app information, and ad interaction data to deliver, personalize, and measure ads according to their own policies.

Your choices may include:

  • Android: reset or delete your advertising ID, or limit ad tracking, in device settings;
  • iOS: manage App Tracking Transparency / personalized ads settings where presented by Apple or the app;
  • industry opt-out tools that may be available in your region (for example, tools offered by advertising trade groups).

These choices may not stop all ads; they may make ads less relevant.

9. Data retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • providing the Service;
  • safety, abuse prevention, and ban enforcement;
  • security, debugging, and legal compliance;
  • resolving disputes and responding to requests.

Retention periods vary by data type. For example, live call media is processed to deliver the call and is not intended to be kept as a permanent user library; moderation samples, reports, ban records, support messages, logs, analytics, and crash data may be retained for shorter or longer periods depending on safety and operational needs. When data is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where reasonably practicable.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted transport (such as HTTPS/WSS) and secure on-device storage for installation credentials. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the Service at your own risk and should avoid sharing sensitive personal information during calls.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

You can also:

  • revoke camera/microphone permissions in device settings;
  • limit advertising identifiers / personalized ads in device settings;
  • stop using or uninstall the app;
  • contact us to request deletion of installation-linked records, support messages, or other personal data we control, subject to legal and safety exceptions.

To exercise privacy rights, email vercelwebmaster@proton.me with enough detail for us to verify and process your request (for example, the email used in a support message, approximate dates, and any installation details you can provide). We may need additional information to verify the request. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority in your country or region.

California / similar U.S. state notices: We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising or analytics activities may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under certain state laws. You can request to know, delete, or correct personal information, and to opt out of sale/share/targeted advertising where those rights apply, by contacting us at the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.

12. Children’s privacy

Kindro is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the relevant digital consent age), and users must be at least 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child contrary to this Policy, we will take steps to delete it and restrict access where required.

For details on how we protect minors, including reporting and enforcement procedures, see our Child Safety Standards.

13. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than the country where you live, including through cloud, analytics, advertising, and call infrastructure providers. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross- border transfers.

14. App Store and Google Play disclosures

For app store privacy labels and data-safety forms, Kindro may collect or process the following categories, depending on platform and features in use:

  • identifiers (app installation IDs; advertising ID on Android);
  • diagnostics (crash logs, performance data);
  • usage/analytics data;
  • audio and video content during calls;
  • safety moderation images/frames derived from camera input;
  • contact info you voluntarily submit for support or appeals;
  • other user content such as report reasons and free-text messages.

Purposes may include:

  • app functionality;
  • analytics;
  • fraud prevention, security, and compliance;
  • advertising or marketing (when ads are shown);
  • developer communications when you contact us.

Data is linked to an installation or session rather than a traditional named user profile. Some data is used for tracking-related advertising measurement by third parties where permitted by platform rules and your settings.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice in the app or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
